What is Coaching?

Life coaching will allow you to be the best version of yourself, by making significant changes in your life. You will find clarity where you currently experience confusion or feelings of being overwhelmed and find solutions and tools to help you with the issues you are facing. Life Coaching helps you make positive change across any areas of your life, whether that’s personally or professionally.

Why do you need a Coach?

Just as an athlete would enlist a coach to train and support them in their sporting goals, a coach is there to support, encourage and unlock parts of your life, to make you feel at ease and confident in making changes. I will start by helping you evaluate where you are, what your life is like now and what you’d really like it to look like.

Unlike talking to a friend, a coach importantly has no bias, and provides a space where you can talk freely through issues you’re experiencing, with no judgement. The role of a coach is not advisory, but someone that can help you unravel the answers, and have confidence with the changes you wish to make.

I decided to train as a life coach as I really want others to see and feel the huge benefits that can come from the coaching experience, in my opinion it’s a total game changer!

As one of my clients recently said to me of her experience ‘it was totally life changing’, so who knows it could be for you too!

I work with individuals in many areas of coaching, specialising in Self Development, Creative Coaching and Childless Coaching.

Self development coaching can cover a wide range of areas, from identifying ways to increase overall happiness, love, and fulfilment from life. Clients have the answers to all of these areas already, but it’s my role as a coach to help you to become aware of them and understand how to harness them.

I have a particular passion for creative coaching, which helps clients find creative solutions to issues they are experiencing in their professional and personal lives. Not solely for the creative industries, but for anyone that wants to envision their dreams and come up with creative ways to make them come true.

Through my own struggles to find a new path in life, I also support women who find themselves childless not by choice. Finding a fulfilling life that does not involve having children of your own can initially be a painful experience, but with my help women are able to successfully navigate that journey and find an alternative to their previous plan A. One that brings them fulfilment and happiness.

If you’re curious and would like to know more about coaching, why not drop me a message. All sessions are run online, but once government guidelines change I will be offering in person coaching once again.

My Journey to being a Coach

My journey to being a coach began in my early 20’s in my first management position, where I was struggled to create and maintain boundaries between work and home life due to the nature of the bar industry and lack of management experience.

Although I was probably too young to realise it back then, I guess you could say I was fortunate to have been given the gift of a guardian angel, in the form of a senior manager. I explained some of the issues I was having separating work and life, and he suggested that I might find coaching helpful. Little did I know how that conversation would influence my next 20 years, let alone actually becoming a coach myself.

My coach then, now my mentor, has been invaluable to me. Not only during the early stages of my career, but again in my 30’s when I hit, what felt like a road block in my life. I was struggling with the pressure of meeting that special someone, the feelings of loneliness and a lack of direction in my life.

Through my coaching experience I have found clarity in so many areas of my life. Including the importance of balance to my life, understanding my values and their influence on my happiness and the kind of life I want to live. With the help of coaching I have been able to work through creative blocks, become more aware of my abilities, understand the importance of aligning my values and beliefs with my goals and create a clearer vision for my future. Coaching has helped me work through professional and personal issues in the present, as well provided me with more tools for a more fulfilling life.

Throughout my career I have gained a huge amount of experience, across a variety of senior management roles, in operations, business development, HR, marketing, and more recently as a Director, but I have never come to far away from my passion for 121 coaching, as well as developing and leading teams.

My coaching journey has led me full circle in that I am now able to help others, which I am very thankful for.
