I take inspiration from nature, colour and texture from flowers, landscapes and the sea to buildings, tiles and the weathered surfaces of old walls.

I work in oil and mixed media, exploring florals, landscapes, seascapes and abstract work. I enjoy experimenting with different techniques, layers and materials, allowing the process to influence each piece.

Colour, texture and layers are at the heart of my work. I like my paintings to reveal something different each time you look at them whether that's a detail, a colour, a texture or a different interpretation. Perhaps this is also why I'm interested in people. Through my work as a coach, I’ve come to appreciate that we are never one-dimensional; there is always more to discover, both in ourselves and in each other.

I studied Art and Design at Somerset College of Arts and Technology before going on to complete a degree in Textile Design & Surface Decoration at Brunel University. After a period away from painting, I found my passion for it again and, in 2019, opened my home for the first time as part of Brighton & Hove Artists Open Houses. What began as a way to share my work has become an important part of my life as an artist.
