A contemporary floral painting created during the first UK lockdown, when the world had become unusually quiet and we could hear birdsong again. Inspired by the simple beauty of nature at a time when everything else seemed to have stopped, I wanted to capture that feeling of calm and connection with the natural world.
The flowers appear to move gently in the breeze, bringing a sense of movement and life to the painting while keeping the overall feel soft and peaceful.
