Description
Discovery followed on from Beginnings and was painted as I started discovering what I could do with floral painting. Inspired by nature and the beauty that is so often right on our doorstep, I wanted to capture the feeling of looking up through grasses and flowers towards the sky.
People often say it feels as though you are tiny, looking up from within the flowers, a little like The Borrowers or Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. I love that sense of scale and the idea that an ordinary patch of flowers can suddenly become a whole new world when you stop and really look.
