Mental Health Awareness Week 18-24 May 2020

Awareness weeks are great for focusing more attention on mental health, but my hope would be that we all have more focus on everyone’s mental health, including our own every day.

Speaking from a personal point of view I know how difficult it can be to open up to some people, for fear of being judged, so I just can’t imagine if this was the case if you had no one to trust.

I thought this piece by James was especially relevant at the moment, with so many people feeling the side effects of isolation. Perhaps even the people you have in your life that you thought were tough aren’t so invincible right now and could do with some support.

Sometimes it just takes a quick call to ask them how they’re feeling, you never know it might just be what they need.
