I’m delighted to be exhibiting seven pieces from my sea-inspired abstract mixed-media collection at Tipsy Mares Wine Bar in Hove, alongside 11 other local artists.
Tipsy Mares is a lovely independent wine bar in Hove, created by Debbie as a space celebrating local wines and spirits. It felt particularly fitting to bring my sea-inspired work here too, drawing on another part of what makes this area special to me: living by the sea and spending time down at the beach in Brighton.
The seven paintings explore the sea through colour, texture, shape and movement. They’re part of my ongoing exploration of a looser, more expressive approach to painting, and each piece is beautifully framed with non-reflective glass.
The original paintings will be on display and available to buy throughout the exhibition and is free to visit.
There will also be live music on Friday and Saturday evening, so there’s plenty going on beyond the art.
