This year I’ll be opening the doors of my home for the first time as part of Brighton Artists Open Houses.
I’ve loved visiting Artists Open Houses for years, so the idea of finally opening my own home feels like a bit of a milestone. I’ll be filling the house with my own paintings alongside a lovely collection of work from seven other local artists and makers.
Joining me will be Lauren Nickless, Louise Phillips, Katja Lelic, Holly Swain, Lume Lighting, Sophie Green and Rosie Odette, bringing together illustration, textiles, printmaking, painting, lighting and jewellery.
I’ve chosen work that I love and that I think will sit beautifully together in the house, creating a colourful and varied collection for visitors to explore.
We’ll also be raising money for the Robin Hood Health Foundation, which provides art therapy sessions for children and adults in the local area.
I’m really excited to be doing this for the first time and to see what happens when I open the doors and share my home, my paintings and the work of these brilliant artists with visitors.
